Young physiotherapist found dead in Cuttack’s Olatpur

Bhubaneswar, Feb 26: In a shocking incident, the body of a young physiotherapist was recovered from behind his rented house in the Olatpur police station area of Cuttack district on Thursday morning. The deceased has been identified as Ruhan Kakati, a native of Assam.

Local residents first noticed the body early in the morning and immediately alerted the police. A team from Olatpur police station reached the spot, recovered the body, and began a preliminary investigation. The exact cause of death is yet to be ascertained, and police are awaiting further medical and forensic reports.

According to reports, Kakati had completed his physiotherapy studies in Assam before moving to Olatpur nearly four years ago for an internship at the Swami Vivekanand National Institute of Rehabilitation Training and Research. After completing his internship, he continued to stay in rented accommodation while practicing physiotherapy locally.

Sources said he had returned to Cuttack from Assam just a day before the incident and was reportedly accompanied by a friend. Police have launched a detailed investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding his death.
