Naveen Patnaik files nomination for Hinjili Assembly seat

Bhubaneswar, April 30: Naveen Patnaik, the Chief Minister of Odisha and the supremo of Biju Janata Dal (BJD), has officially submitted his nomination papers for the Hinjili Assembly constituency in the forthcoming elections. Prior to this crucial step, the party leader offered prayers at the Tara Tarini Temple located in Ganjam district.
Following the temple visit, the Chief Minister is slated to address a gathering in Chikiti subsequent to filing his nomination papers today. A marathon campaign is reportedly planned in the Ganjam district.
Additionally, on May 1st, the Chief Minister is set to campaign in Khallikot, Kabisuryanagar, Digapahandi, and Chhatrapur. He will then visit Hanjnagar, Polsara, Sankhemundi, and Sorda, conducting rallies on May 3rd. Similarly, on May 6th, the CM has scheduled two public rallies in Gopalpur and Aska.
It is noteworthy that Patnaik has contested from Hinjili five times, consistently maintaining a vote share of no less than 65%. His initial run in 2000 secured a 65.35% vote share, while in 2009, he garnered a remarkable 76.04% vote share.
Just hours prior to filing his nomination, the Chief Minister shared a video extending best wishes to BJD Lok Sabha candidate for Sambalpur, Pranab Prakash Das, as Das also filed his nominations for the upcoming elections.
