Elephant assault claims the life of Ranger in Kalahandi

Bhawanipatna, Dec 10: Prashant Pal, the Ranger from Narla Forest Division, who was assaulted by an elephant on Sunday morning, has succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at a local medical facility.
As per the latest updates, Ranger Pal responded to reports of an elephant herd near Tulapada village Ampada and arrived at the scene with the elephant and cattle squad this morning.
During the operation, Ranger Prashant Pal was attacked by an elephant, leading to his critical condition. He was rushed to the Norla Community Health Center, where senior Forest officials and Narla police were present. Despite the dedicated efforts of the medical staff, Ranger Prashant Pal passed away on Sunday morning.
His body has been transferred to M. Rampur for autopsy. The deceased Ranger served as a duty officer in the North Forest Division in Kalahandi.
