Renovated conference hall inaugurated at Lok Seva Bhawan
Bhubaneswar, May 4: The newly renovated conference hall of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department was inaugurated on Monday at Lok Seva Bhawan by Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari.
The inauguration ceremony was held during the auspicious morning hours and included traditional rituals. Flowers blessed as Karapallava from the Jagannath Temple were brought to the venue as a symbol of divine blessings for the occasion.
Speaking after the inauguration, Pujari expressed satisfaction over the completion of the renovation and described the facility as a “Nabakalebara,” signifying a renewed embodiment of the department in line with its evolving responsibilities.
Additional Chief Secretary Arabinda Padhee said the modernised conference hall reflects the department’s reform-oriented approach. He added that the upgraded infrastructure will significantly enhance administrative efficiency and improve the department’s overall functional capacity.
Officials noted that the renovated hall is equipped with improved facilities to support better coordination, decision-making, and disaster management planning.
The initiative is seen as part of the government’s broader effort to modernise administrative infrastructure and strengthen governance mechanisms in the state.
