All pending appointments to be completed before two-year mark: BJP

Bhubaneswar, April 28: Manmohan Samal on Tuesday announced that all pending recruitments in Corporations and Boards across Odisha will be completed before the state government marks two years in office.

Addressing the media, Samal said June 12 will mark the completion of two years of the Bharatiya Janata Party government in the state. He assured that all remaining appointments, including those in vacant Corporations and Boards, will be finalised well before the deadline.

“We will ensure that all pending recruitments are completed before the two-year mark. Appointments will be made in all vacant posts,” he said.

Samal further informed that the process of appointing government lawyers (advocates) has already been completed in 29 districts. The remaining appointments in Khordha district, he added, will be finalised soon.

On the issue of Cabinet expansion, Samal stated that a decision would be taken after consultations with the party’s central leadership.

Highlighting the government’s performance, he claimed that nearly 80 percent of the promises made in its election manifesto have already been fulfilled, with the remaining commitments set to be achieved within the stipulated timeline.

Referring to recent elections in Assam and West Bengal, Samal said Odisha BJP workers actively contributed to campaigning across multiple Assembly constituencies.
