Bhubaneswar, Mar 19: The Higher Education Department, Odisha has extended the deadline for the Common Postgraduate Entrance Test (CPET) application process till March 22, providing relief to aspiring students across the state.

As per the latest notification, interested candidates can now submit their application forms through the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) Odisha portal until 11:45 PM on the revised deadline. Earlier, the last date for submission was March 18.

Officials stated that the decision to extend the deadline was taken keeping in view the larger interest and future prospects of students, allowing more applicants to complete the process without facing time constraints or technical issues.

The CPET serves as a mandatory entrance examination for students seeking admission into postgraduate courses for the 2026–27 academic session in various universities and colleges across Odisha. Admissions will be granted based on the marks obtained in the entrance test.

Students have been advised to carefully fill out their application forms and ensure all required details are correctly submitted before the deadline to avoid rejection.

With the extended timeline, authorities expect increased participation in the entrance process, ensuring that eligible candidates do not miss the opportunity to pursue higher education in their preferred disciplines.
