Three minors missing in Bhubaneswar; police launch intensive search
Bhubaneswar, Mar 6: Concern has grown in Bhubaneswar after three minors—one boy and two girls—went missing within the last three days. Two of the cases were reported in the past 24 hours, prompting the Commissionerate Police to begin an intensive search operation and seek help from the public.
The missing children include 12-year-old Pradhyumna Pradhan, a Class 6 student who was last seen near Dhauli Hill on March 3. According to family members, the boy left home without informing anyone and has not been seen since. Police teams are currently scanning nearby areas and reviewing possible leads to trace his whereabouts.
The other two missing minors are girls from the Saliasahi area of Bhubaneswar. They have been identified as Sumitra Dehury, a resident of Tarini Nagar in Saliasahi, and Subhasree Nayak, also known as Shubhashree Nayak, from the Hatiasuni locality of the same area. Both reportedly left their homes without informing their families and have not returned since.
To speed up the search, Bhubaneswar police have circulated posters with the children’s photographs and shared them widely on social media. Authorities have also announced a reward of ₹50,000 for credible information leading to their safe recovery.
Police have urged citizens to contact the control room or helplines immediately if they have any information.
