Odisha HSC results likely by early May, evaluation nears completion
Bhubaneswar, April 2: The Board of Secondary Education Odisha is set to declare the High School Certificate (HSC) examination results in the first or second week of May, informed BSE President Srikant Tarai on Thursday.
Tarai stated that the evaluation process is progressing smoothly without any major discrepancies and is expected to conclude shortly. Answer sheet assessment has already been completed in four districts. Once the results are announced, students will receive their mark sheets and certificates promptly. Those who fail in one or more subjects will be given a chance to appear for supplementary examinations.
The HSC examinations were conducted from February 19 to March 2, alongside Madhyama and Open School exams. Authorities ensured strict monitoring to maintain a fair and malpractice-free process. Special squads conducted surprise inspections, while all centres were equipped with CCTV surveillance and live monitoring systems. Live streaming was carried out from 1,364 examination centres across the state.
Evaluation began on March 19 at 51 centres involving around 15,000 examiners. This year, out of 5,46,876 registered students, 5,36,946 appeared for the exams, with an absentee rate of 1.81 per cent.
