Bhubaneswar: In the backdrop of escalating political allegations, reports of former bureaucrat and BJD leader VK Pandian evading police summons have been strongly refuted as a manufactured and selective narrative. Contrary to claims circulated by political rivals and sections of the media, records show that Pandian responded immediately to the authorities and remains fully committed to assisting the investigation.

The controversy stems from a notice issued by the police requiring his presence for questioning. However, key details of his official response were deliberately omitted in media leaks to paint a misleading picture of non-compliance.

In his formal reply, Pandian clarified that he is currently out of the country due to prior professional commitments. Far from avoiding the process, he communicated with the police immediately upon receiving the notice and explicitly stated that he will return to India on the 12th, after which he will assist the police in person without delay.

Furthermore, to ensure no disruption to the ongoing probe, Pandian voluntarily offered to join the investigation immediately via Video Conferencing (VC) at the convenience of the police if the matter requires urgent attention.

Observers note that presenting an individual who has provided a fixed date of return and offered virtual availability as "evading summons" is a classic strategy of political spin. The public is urged to look at the complete facts rather than fall for incomplete leaks and engineered narratives.
