Union Minister Nitin Gadkari dedicates and lays foundation stone of projects worth over Rs 4,000 crore

Bhubaneswar: Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has made many announcements including dedicating and laying the foundation stone of 154 km long projects worth over Rs 4,000 crore in Odisha. Addressing a special meeting held in Baramunda, he said, "I feel blessed to have got the opportunity to come to the land of Jagannath." Work on projects worth Rs 2 lakh crore is underway in Odisha. The second Ranchi-Sambalpur corridor will cost Rs 8,000 crore. The Chandikhol-Paradeep corridor will be completed by December 2026. The journey from 2 hours will be reduced to 1 hour. Similarly, he said that Sambalpur can be reached from Cuttack in 4 hours.

After the cabinet approval, the work on the Bhubaneswar 6-lane ring road will start at a cost of Rs 7,000 crore. The 6-lane road from Bhubaneswar to Puri will be expanded. Gadkari said that a lot of work has been done at Paradip Port under the Sagarmala scheme. Similarly, the Union Minister has promised to make travel easy for the sight of Lord Jagannath. He said that the pilot project of flash charging bus, which charges in half a minute, has been started in Nagpur. If this is successful, he has proposed to run this bus from Bhubaneswar, Cuttack to Puri. All facilities will be available in this bus. There will be 135 seats in this double-decker bus. All the people will get up in front of the driver. There will be a TV in front of every seat. There will also be a bus hostess like air hostess. And all these promises will be fulfilled not only in words, but in deeds, he said.
