Bhubaneswar, Oct 15: A young techie, Ronit Jena, ended his life by jumping from the eighth floor of Chandrama Complex in Kharvel Nagar, Bhubaneswar, on Monday evening. Ronit, 23, reportedly took this drastic step after being betrayed in love.

CCTV footage shows Ronit climbing a ladder to the rooftop shortly before the incident. According to his family, he was deeply in love with a woman from Brahampur and had been financially supporting her. However, after being deceived, Ronit became severely depressed, which allegedly led him to take this extreme step.

Before his death, Ronit wrote a heartfelt letter to his mother, apologizing for his actions. The police have recovered the letter as part of the investigation. His grieving family has urged authorities to conduct a thorough probe into the circumstances of his death.

After the post-mortem, police handed over Ronit’s body to his family for the final rites.
