Sunfeast Marie Light Brings a Cooling ‘Surjya Bardaan’ To Devotees At Rath Yatra 2025

Thousands of Sunfeast Surya Bardaan caps bring a sigh of relief for devotees during the divine journey this year

Puri : The Puri Rath Yatra stands as one of India’s most revered spiritual celebrations — a moment when millions walk together in unwavering faith, following the sacred chariots of Lord Jagannath.Sunfeast Marie Light this year has supported this timeless tradition with a thoughtful gesture.

During the Rath yatra procession, as pilgrims endure long hours under the blazing sun, Sunfeast Surjya Bardaan emerges as a symbol of relief and reverence. The brand unveiled a cooling –Surjya Bardaan cap— infused with faith and blessed by the sun. This cap is crafted with sandalwood and a special menthol cooling layer. When sun rays fall on the SunfeastSurjyaBardaan cap, it activates the menthol cooling in the cap. Hence instead of feeling hot, the sun rays make you feel cool while you experience the calming fragrance of sandalwood allowing devotees to partake in the divine journey with a cool head full of devotion.

Mr. Ali Harris Shere, Chief Operating Officer, Biscuits & Cakes Cluster, Foods Division, ITC Ltd. commented “The sun, which symbolizes energy, vitality, and life, is central to our brand. At Sunfeast Marie Light, our biscuits are made from sun-kissed wheat, and we carry that spirit of warmth and care into everything we do. The SurjyaBardaan cap is our way of honouring tradition while offering thoughtful comfort to the Puri Rath Yatra devotees”

Thousands of caps were distributed on the day of Rath Yatra, from experience zones set up on ground. Pilgrims embraced the offering — not only for its utility but for its symbolic message of being nurtured by the very force they walk beneath.

Popular Odia actress Archita Sahu also joined Sunfeast Marie Light in this yatra, lending her support to the initiative. She participated in on-ground activities and helped distribute the SunfeastSurjyaBardaan caps.

As the sun illuminated the streets of Puri, SunfeastSurjyaBardaan became a quiet, thoughtful presence — walking with the devotees, supporting them every step of the way and reminding them that the divine is not only to be worshipped, but felt in every gesture of care.
