Naveen Patnaik reveals BJD's ambitious plans for Odisha's future

Bhubaneswar, May 10: Odisha's Chief Minister and BJD Supremo, Naveen Patnaik, unveiled the party's manifesto for the upcoming 2024 general elections on Thursday. The ceremony took place at Naveen Niwas in Bhubaneswar, with the presence of 5T chairman Karthik Pandian and other party dignitaries.
In this comprehensive manifesto, BJD has outlined ambitious targets under its 5T transformative initiatives, aiming to propel Odisha to the forefront as the leading state in the country by 2034. Among the pledges made, Patnaik committed to providing free electricity to both farmers and domestic households across Odisha.
For domestic households consuming less than 100 units per month, BJD vows to supply electricity free of charge. Additionally, households consuming between 100-150 units will receive 50 units of electricity at no cost. This initiative is poised to benefit the vast majority of rural and urban populations alike.
The promise of free electricity extends to farmers as well, particularly benefiting those relying on agricultural pumps, notably in Western Odisha. The party emphasizes the importance of energy conservation and intends to incentivize renewable energy endeavors as part of its broader agenda.
Furthermore, the manifesto underscores BJD's commitment to empower farmers and foster the development of women, students, and youth within the state. The party's agenda encompasses various sectors, including language, culture, heritage, healthcare, industrialization, infrastructure, and statewide connectivity.
Highlighted in the manifesto is the overarching vision of "Sukhi Odisha, Sashakta Odisha, Samruddha Odisha," encapsulating the party's core objectives for a prosperous and empowered Odisha.
