Congress forms election management committee for Odisha polls, Prasad Harichandan to lead

Bhubaneswar, April 17: The Congress has established an election management committee for the forthcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Odisha, with former Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Prasad Harichandan at the helm. The committee comprises 26 members and is led by convenor Manoranjan Das, along with joint convenors Banka Nidhi Behera and Vikash Garabadu, as announced in a press release from the All India Congress Committee (AICC).
Prominent figures within the party, including Niranjan Patnaik, Jaydev Jena, Bhakta Charan Das, Srikanta Jena, Bijay Kumar Patnaik, and Panchanan Kanungo, are part of the committee. Other members include Rama Chandra Khuntia, Jagannath Patnaik, Navjyoti Patnaik, Manas Choudhury, and Bandita Parida.
The committee's composition also includes former presidents of OPCC, leaders of Congress Legislature Party (CLP) in Odisha, AICC-deputed functionaries in Odisha, heads of all frontal organizations and cells of the Congress, along with chiefs of Congress war room, media and communication department, and social media, who serve as ex-officio members.
