Man keeps wife's body after fatal domestic dispute in Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar, March 14: After a domestic dispute turned fatal, a man in Tarini Nagar, Bhubaneswar, kept the body of his wife in their residence for three days before being arrested by authorities. The grim discovery unfolded when neighbors detected a foul odor emanating from the house, prompting them to alert the police.
The accused husband, who confessed to the crime, was apprehended following his admission to neighbors and law enforcement officials. According to police reports, the deceased, Rina Jena, was known to consume alcohol, and on the day of the incident, a heated argument ensued between the couple, resulting in her tragic demise at the hands of her husband.
Authorities were notified by concerned neighbors after the accused disclosed the chilling details of the crime. Mrutyunjay Swain, an official from the Matri Vihar police station, confirmed the distressing events and revealed that the murder investigation indicates a fallout from a family dispute.
The husband, in his statement to the police, cited his wife's excessive alcohol consumption and the ensuing argument as the catalyst for the fatal altercation. A case has been registered, and investigations are ongoing into this tragic incident.
