Finalists spotted in Utkal Open Tennis
Bhubaneswar: Top seed Rutuparna Choudhury will cross swords with Prisha Das in the women’s singles final of the All Odisha Utkal Open Tennis Tournament at Kalinga Stadium on Sunday.
In the semifinals, Rutuparna out played Sanrachana Das by 9-0, while Prisha edged out Sanvi Mohanty by 9-0 on Saturday to book their place for the final.
Top seed Wania Sk will meet third seed Sanrachana Das in the girls U-14 singles final.
In the semifinals, Wania and Sanrachana win over 4th seed Shreya Mohapatra and Sai Rupi S Mohanty by 9-1 and 9-3 respectively.
Similarly, in the boys U-14 final, top seed Aahaan Mishra to face second seed Sai Swastik Mohanty. Earlier in the semifinals, Aahaan and Sai Swastik defeated Jagat Joyti Pati and Shreyan Patnaik by 9-0 and 9-2 respectively.
Tournament Committee Chairman Dr Biswajit Mohanty wished good luck to all the finalists.
