Mystery surrounds death of married couple in Puri; police probe underway
Bhubaneswar, June 2: A shocking incident has come to light from Odisha’s Puri district, where the bodies of a married couple were found inside their rented house at Arjun Singhpur village under the Satasankha area of Pipili block. The incident has triggered concern among local residents, while police have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
According to reports, the couple had been married for nearly seven years and had been living in a rented house away from their native village. Their sudden deaths have left family members and neighbours in shock.
The incident came to light on Tuesday morning when the couple failed to open the door of their house for an unusually long period. Growing suspicious, neighbours gathered outside and eventually broke open the door. To their horror, they found both the husband and wife lying dead inside the house.
On receiving information, the Officer-in-Charge of the Satasankha Police Outpost and other police personnel rushed to the spot and began a preliminary investigation. The bodies were seized and sent for post-mortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of death.
Police officials said all possible angles are being examined, including double suicide and foul play. While initial findings suggest the possibility of suicide, investigators have not ruled out any other possibility.
The exact reason behind the deaths remains unclear. Authorities are awaiting the post-mortem reports and other forensic findings, which are expected to provide crucial clues in unraveling the mystery behind the tragic incident.
