Cuttack declared ‘No Drone Zone’ ahead of Bali Yatra 2025 to ensure public safety

Bhubaneswar, Oct 8: In preparation for the upcoming Bali Yatra 2025, the Cuttack district administration has declared the entire Bali Yatra grounds and nearby areas as a ‘No Drone Zone’ from November 1 to 15, 2025, to ensure public safety and maintain strict security arrangements during the mega event.
According to an official order issued by Collector and District Magistrate Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde, the restriction will be enforced within a 5-kilometre radius of both the Lower and Upper Bali Yatra grounds. The order bans all forms of aerial activities, including drones, UAVs, para-gliders, para-motors, powered hang gliders, microlight aircraft, and hot air balloons during this period.
The directive, issued under Section 14(1) and 163 of the BNSS Act, 2023, emphasizes the need for heightened vigilance as several VVIPs and VIPs are expected to attend the historic festival.
The Bali Yatra 2025, scheduled from November 5 to 12, will be held on an expanded 60-acre area, drawing an anticipated crowd of over 50 lakh visitors. Any violation of the drone restriction will lead to seizure of equipment and strict legal action, the administration warned.
