CM Mohan Majhi expresses grief over Sikkim bus tragedy, sends special team for rescue of Odisha tourists

Bhubaneswar, May 30: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed deep grief following the tragic news of a tourist bus plunging into the Teesta River in Sikkim. The mishap, which occurred earlier this week, reportedly involved several passengers from Odisha, some of whom have gone missing.
On receiving the distressing news, CM Majhi promptly initiated high-level communication with the Sikkim government to coordinate rescue efforts and ensure the well-being of the affected tourists. He emphasized the importance of immediate action and instructed officials to prioritize the rescue, medical treatment, and safe return of all Odisha residents involved in the accident.
To further strengthen the relief operations, CM Majhi has deployed a special team of Odisha officials to Sikkim.
