Bhubaneswar, May 16: In a shocking incident, Chandrashekhar Jharia, a junior engineer of Barapali block in Bargarh district, was found dead with severe burn injuries inside his car under suspicious circumstances. The incident occurred at Haldipali Chhack, where his Hyundai Creta was parked along the side of the national highway for an unusually long time.

Passersby became concerned when the vehicle remained stationary for hours. On closer inspection, they saw a man motionless inside the car and immediately alerted the police. Upon arrival, the police broke open the car windows and recovered Jharia’s charred body from the vehicle.

Preliminary reports suggest the possibility of an AC short circuit as the cause of the fire. Jharia’s wife stated that he had left home around noon and later stopped responding to her calls. “I kept calling him through the night, but he didn’t answer. This morning, on my way to work, I saw his car and was devastated to find him inside,” she said.

The police have launched a thorough investigation to determine the exact cause of death. The incident has created widespread panic and concern among locals.
