Odisha leaders pay tributes to Biju Patnaik on his 28th death anniversary

Odisha leaders pay tributes to Biju Patnaik on his 28th death anniversary

Bhubaneswar, April 17: On the occasion of the 28th death anniversary of legendary leader Biju Patnaik, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, along with Deputy Chief Ministers Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, paid floral tributes at his statue within the Odisha Legislative Assembly premises on Thursday.


The solemn ceremony was attended by the Speaker of the Assembly, Ministers, and Members of the Legislative Assembly, who gathered to honor the iconic freedom fighter, former Chief Minister, and architect of modern Odisha. Biju Patnaik, fondly known as "Biju Babu," remains a towering figure in the state’s political and developmental history.


Chief Minister Majhi took to social media platform X, writing, “Humble tributes to the great public figure, freedom fighter and former Chief Minister of Odisha, Biju Patnaik. His contributions to education and empowerment continue to inspire generations.”
Deputy CMs Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida also expressed their respect through heartfelt messages on X, remembering Biju Babu’s vision, courage, and undying spirit that continues to guide the state's journey towards progress and self-reliance.
