Bhubaneswar: The Higher Education Department has directed the founder of KIIT University, Achyut Samanta, to appear before the high-level committee of the state government in the case of the death of a student of KIIT University. KIIT University founder, Achyut Samanta, has been directed to appear before the high-level committee of the state government with all the documents on Friday (21.02.2025) at 6.30 pm. 

The high-level committee has decided to investigate the allegations of suicide of a student and the further action taken by the university authorities, the Higher Education Department has written a letter to KIIT and KIIS founder, Achyut Samanta. Therefore, he has been directed to appear before the high-level committee on Friday (21.02.2025) at 6.30 pm at the Mini Conference Hall, New Annex Building, State Guest House, Bhubaneswar. Achyut Samanta has been requested to submit evidence along with sufficient documentary evidence before the committee as per the terms mentioned in the order of the Higher Education Department, said a letter written by Higher Education Department Director Kali Prasanna Mohapatra.
