Man allegedly kills wife, keeps body at home for two days in Bargarh
Bhubaneswar, Dec 21: In a shocking incident, a man allegedly murdered his wife and kept her body inside their house for two days in Jenkeda village under Gaisilet police limits in Odisha's Bargarh district.
The accused, identified as Ram Sahoo, reportedly slit his wife Chandrakanti Sahoo's throat with a sharp weapon following a family dispute. After committing the crime, he abandoned the body in their home and fled the scene.
The incident came to light on Saturday when neighbors noticed a foul smell emanating from the house and alerted the authorities.
Upon receiving the information, Gaisilet police arrived at the scene, recovered Chandrakanti's body, and sent it for a post-mortem examination. They have also initiated a detailed investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances and motive behind the crime.
Efforts are underway to locate and apprehend Ram Sahoo, who remains absconding. The gruesome act has sent shockwaves through the local community, sparking outrage and demands for swift justice.
