7-year-old girl kidnapped, sexually assaulted in Capital City

Bhubaneswar, Nov 16: A seven-year-old girl was kidnapped and sexually assaulted in the capital city, according to a complaint filed with Lingaraj police. The girl went missing on Saturday morning, and despite her parents' frantic search, she was nowhere to be found. It wasn't until a woman spotted her near an under-construction building in the Basistha Nagar area that she was finally located.

The girl's family immediately reported the incident to Lingaraj police, who rushed her to BMC Hospital for medical examination. The girl's father, a mason, alleged that his daughter was sexually assaulted after being abducted. The police have since initiated an investigation and are reviewing CCTV footage to gather evidence.

This horrific incident highlights the need for increased safety measures and vigilance to protect children from such heinous crimes. The police are working to identify the perpetrator and ensure justice for the victim and her family.
