BJD Announces Alaka Mohanty As Candidate For Brajrajnagar Assembly By-Poll

BJD Announces Alaka Mohanty  As Candidate For Brajrajnagar Assembly By-Poll

Biju Janata Dal (BJD) announced its candidate for by-poll to Brajrajnagar Assembly Constituency in Jharsuguda district of Odisha. Biju Janata Dal supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has nominated Alaka Mohanty, the wife of late MLA Kishore Kumar Mohanty,  as its MLA candidate for Brajrajnagar Assembly Constituency by-poll scheduled on May 31, 2022.

Earlier opposition BJP had announced Radharani Panda as its MLA candidate for the bye-election. Congress party had already nominated Kishore Patel for the by-poll to Brajrajnagar.

It is to be noted that as per the notification issued by the State Election Commission, the by-poll to Brajrajnagar will be held from 7 am to 6 pm on May 31. The counting of votes will take place on June 3.
