Jagatsinghpur youth's organ donation saves two lives

Bhubaneswar, July 16: A youth from Jagatsinghpur has become immortal by donating his organs, giving a new lease of life to two people.
Sources reported that Birendra Prasad Swain from the Raghunathpur area of Jagatsinghpur was rushed to SCB Medical College and Hospital after being seriously injured in a road accident on Sunday. Unfortunately, he was declared brain-dead by doctors on Monday.
With the consent of his family members, Swain's organs were donated. The urology and nephrology departments of SCB Medical College and Hospital jointly performed the kidney transplantation surgery. One kidney was preserved at SCB, while the other was sent through the Green Corridor to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for transplantation.
Thanks to Swain's generosity, two successful kidney transplants were performed on Tuesday. A woman from the Jaipur area underwent a kidney transplant at SCB, while another transplant was conducted at AIIMS.
The transplants were successful, providing new hope to two individuals in need of kidney transplants. Swain's selfless act has made a significant impact, offering a renewed chance at life for these patients.
