Father's bomb kills younger son in Khordha property dispute

Bhubaneswar, July 12: In a tragic incident over an alleged property dispute, a man was killed when a bomb, allegedly thrown by his father, exploded unexpectedly. The explosion occurred in Sahaspur Sahantinagar under Banapur police limits in Khordha.
The deceased has been identified as Dibyasingh Routray. Police have detained his father, Satha Routray, and his elder brother, Subash Routray.
The incident stemmed from a dispute between Satha and Subash over land ownership. According to the police, Satha, along with Dibyasingh, planned to kill Subash. However, when Satha hurled a bomb at Subash's house, it accidentally struck an iron grill and exploded, killing Dibyasingh instead. Subash sustained minor injuries in the blast.
Police, upon receiving information, arrived at the scene and recovered a country-made gun. Both Satha and Subash are currently in custody and being interrogated.
