BJP’s Hema Malini advocates double engine government in Odisha
Bhubaneswar, May 17: Veteran actress-turned-politician Hema Malini is visiting Odisha today. The BJP candidate for Mathura and one of the party's star campaigners, she campaigned in Saliasahi, Bhubaneswar, on May 17.
Hema Malini is also scheduled to visit Cuttack today, where she will address a public gathering. Additionally, she will hold a roadshow in Pipili, urging people to vote for the BJP.
Speaking to the media upon her arrival at Bhubaneswar Airport, the Bollywood actress emphasized the need for a "double engine" government for the development of Odisha.
In a related event, Odisha Chief Minister and BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik conducted a major roadshow in Bhubaneswar yesterday, seeking votes for his party candidates. During his roadshow, Patnaik addressed the public at various locations, appealing for support for Bhubaneswar MP candidate Manmath Routray and Bhubaneswar Central MLA candidate Ananta Narayan Jena.
The state is preparing for the second phase of elections, set to take place on May 20. This phase will include voting for five Lok Sabha seats and 35 Assembly seats. The constituencies involved in this phase are Balangir, Bargarh, Sundergarh, Kandhamal, and Aska.
