Rajnath Singh asserts BJP's confidence in forming double-engine government in Odisha
Bhubaneswar, Feb 22: Defence Minister and senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh expressed confidence on Thursday in the formation of a strong coalition government in Odisha.
Addressing separate political gatherings in Nabarangpur, Berhampur, and Baripada, Singh emphasized the readiness of the people of Odisha to provide a decisive mandate to the BJP at both the central and state levels.
Singh advocated for a "double-engine" government in Odisha, aligning with the BJP's vision for accelerated development. He highlighted the party's commitment to fulfilling its promises and urged party workers to effectively communicate Prime Minister Modi's message to the electorate.
Reflecting on his personal connection with Odisha, Singh recalled launching the 'Bharat Surakhya Yatra' from the state during his time in the Congress government, noting significant improvements in the security situation since then.
Criticizing the Congress party, Singh accused it of betraying the nation, particularly the marginalized sections. He credited the Modi government with lifting 25 crore people out of poverty and slammed the Congress for its lack of substantial development initiatives in Odisha.
In Berhampur, Singh reiterated his confidence in securing a "double-engine" government, condemning the Congress's neglect of Odisha's development needs. He emphasized the BJP's commitment to translating promises into action and achieving electoral success in both the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Odisha.
Singh also underscored Prime Minister Modi's contributions to both Odisha and the nation during his address in Baripada, Mayurbhanj.
