Puri, Jan 13: On Friday, Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingha Deb, conducted the 'Acharya Barana Niti' at Sri Nahar for the yagna dedicated to the Srimandir Parikrama project.
Following the completion of the ritual, Gajapati Maharaja expressed his endorsement for the Srimandir Parikrama project, considering it a commendable endeavor. He credited Lord Jagannath for turning the seemingly impossible into reality.
Gajapati Maharaja highlighted the adverse impact of surrounding structures on the temple's aesthetics, leading to a loss of its inherent beauty. He emphasized that the success of the Srimandir Parikrama project was achieved through the removal of these constructions and encroachments within a 75-meter radius of the Meghanada Pacheri.
According to Gajapati Maharaja, the Parikrama project is crucial for the temple's security. He further pointed out that the earlier practice of dumping garbage around the Meghanada Pacheri would no longer occur, thanks to the successful implementation of the project.
