Weather update: Shallow to moderate fog expected in multiple Odisha areas

Bhubaneswar, Jan 5: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted the likelihood of dense fog in one or two locations across the districts of Koraput, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Ganjam, Gajapati, Nayagarh, and Khordha in the next 24 hours. A 'yellow warning' has been issued for these districts.
Additionally, the IMD forecasts the occurrence of shallow to moderate fog in a few places within Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, and in one or two places in Sonepur, Bolangir, Gajapati, Ganjam, Khurda, and Puri during the next 24 hours.
Furthermore, the IMD anticipates light rain or thundershowers in one or two locations across Sundargarh, Keonjhar, and Mayurbhanj districts. Dry weather is expected to persist in the remaining districts of the state.
The IMD also projects no significant change in the minimum temperature (night temperature) over the state's districts for the next 5 days. The temperatures are likely to be above normal by 2 to 3°C at many places during this period.
