3732 Nursing Officers join medical institutions in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Nov 29: In a significant stride for the healthcare sector of the state, a total of 3732 nursing officers have assumed roles across medical colleges and hospitals. The induction ceremony for these healthcare professionals was held at the renowned Kalinga Stadium.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik conveyed his warm regards to the nursing officers who have embraced the noble responsibility of serving the people. Stressing the importance of selfless dedication, he urged them to draw inspiration from the exemplary work of Pandit Gopabandhu Das, Florence Nightingale, and Mother Teresa in their service to humanity.
During his address, Patnaik reiterated that the fundamental principle of healthcare services is to instill a sense of trust and confidence among patients. He commended the nursing officers for their unwavering commitment to providing compassionate care, particularly amid the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Chief Minister also recognized the crucial role played by nursing officers in the successful management of COVID-19. He underscored their substantial contributions and emphasized the significance of the nursing community in the broader healthcare system.
