Bay of Bengal braces for possible cyclonic threat around November 30

Bhubaneswar, Nov 27: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday said that a cyclonic storm is anticipated to develop over the Bay of Bengal by November 30.
The Meteorological department reported the formation of a low-pressure area in the south Andaman Sea and adjoining Malacca Strait this morning. This development is attributed to the cyclonic circulation over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining south Thailand observed on Sunday.
As per the meteorological predictions, the low-pressure area is expected to progress in a west-northwest direction, likely intensifying into a depression over the southeast Bay of Bengal around November 29. Subsequently, it is projected to continue its northwestward movement and further intensify into a cyclonic storm over the southeast Bay of Bengal in the following 48 hours.
