Speeding truck leaves three Bhubaneswar-bound bus passengers dead in Angul

Angul, Nov 17: Tragedy struck as three passengers of a Bhubaneswar-bound bus lost their lives and another sustained critical injuries in a collision with a speeding truck at Baragapali in the Kishore Nagar area of Odisha's Angul district today.
The deceased individuals have been identified as Ghanshyam Barik from Brajarajnagar, Anand Pradhan from Sundargarh, and Nayan Kumar Nayak from Jharsuguda.
Sources report that the bus, en route to Bhubaneswar from Sundargarh, came to a halt midday due to a punctured tire. As the helper alighted to address the issue, some passengers disembarked from the vehicle and were struck by the speeding truck while crossing the road for a natural break. The truck driver fled the scene after the accident.
Three of the victims were rushed to a hospital in Rairakhol, where two tragically succumbed to their injuries. Another victim lost their life at a hospital in Kishore Nagar. The injured, identified as Trilochan Nayak from Badamba, is currently undergoing treatment at Rairakhol.
