Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh: In a shocking incident that has sent shockwaves across Ghaziabad, a woman has allegedly conspired with her gym trainer lover to murder her husband, who was stabbed multiple times while their three-and-a-half-year-old daughter was sleeping beside him. The incident took place on October 26 at Jagriti RWA Society in Vasundhara Sector 1.

The victim, identified as 35-year-old Shashank Kantharia, worked as a senior accountant in the Delhi government. His wife, Priya Sharma, aged 32, and the alleged attacker, gym trainer Pratap Singh, aged 30, have been arrested in connection with the case, according to media reports.

Alleged Extramarital Relationship Led to Conspiracy

According to the police investigation, Priya allegedly developed a relationship with Pratap Singh after meeting him at a gym approximately seven to eight months ago. Their relationship reportedly became a source of tension within the family.

Police sources said Shashank discovered the alleged relationship in September and objected to it. He reportedly confronted his wife over the matter. Investigators also suspect that Shashank's decision to shift to another residence after Diwali may have increased tensions between the couple.

Police suspect that Priya and Pratap subsequently planned the attack to eliminate Shashank.

Wife Allegedly Left House Before Attack

According to the preliminary investigation, Priya allegedly left the house early in the morning on October 26, reportedly around 5:17 am, claiming that she was going to the gym.

Investigators suspect that she deliberately left the entrance accessible to facilitate Pratap's entry into the house.

CCTV footage reportedly played a crucial role in reconstructing the sequence of events. The footage allegedly shows Pratap entering the residential premises shortly after Priya left.

He then allegedly entered the house and attacked Shashank with a knife while the latter was asleep.

Three-Year-Old Daughter Wakes Up During Attack

The most disturbing aspect of the incident was the presence of the couple's young daughter, who was sleeping beside her father when the attack took place.

According to reports, the child woke up during the assault and began crying after witnessing the horrifying incident.

Pratap allegedly attempted to escape after stabbing Shashank multiple times. However, his attempt to flee reportedly failed when neighbours caught him.

Shashank was immediately rushed to Yashoda Medicity Hospital with serious injuries. He received medical attention following the attack.

Police Arrest Both Accused

Following the incident, police initiated an investigation and examined CCTV footage and other available evidence. The investigation reportedly revealed the alleged involvement of Priya in planning the attack.

Both Priya Sharma and Pratap Singh were arrested and subsequently sent to judicial custody, according to media reports.

Police are examining the circumstances surrounding the alleged conspiracy, the sequence of events leading to the attack and the evidence collected from the crime scene.

The incident has raised serious concerns about domestic violence and the safety of family members, particularly children caught in violent family disputes.

The case has also drawn public attention because of the alleged involvement of a spouse and the presence of a young child during the brutal assault.

Further investigation is underway to establish the complete sequence of events and determine the individual roles of the accused. The allegations against both accused will be subject to judicial examination.
