Tragic bus fire claims life of Odisha woman in West Bengal

Bhubaneswar, Nov 11: Tragedy struck on the National Highway near Kharagpur in West Bengal as a bus, bound for Paradeep, caught fire last night.
Among the passengers was Pushpanjali Das from Kendrapada, Odisha, who lost her life in the incident. Travelling with her husband and son, the bus suddenly became engulfed in flames. Though the exact cause remains unknown, initial investigations suggest the presence of explosive materials on board.
Of the 30 passengers on the bus, 16 were from Kendrapada and two from Paradeep. Departing from Babughat in Kolkata, the bus was en route to Paradeep when the unfortunate event occurred. The injured have been taken to Medinapur Medical College & Hospital and Kharagpur Hospital, with some from Odisha being transferred back to the state for treatment.
Fortunately, the condition of the transferred passengers is reported to be stable, providing a glimmer of hope amid this devastating incident.
