OUHS orders probe into alleged PG exam paper leak at MKCG Medical College
Bhubaneswar, July 31: The Odisha University of Health Sciences (OUHS) has launched a formal investigation into the alleged leak of a postgraduate (PG) examination question paper at Berhampur's MKCG Medical College and Hospital, following growing concerns over the integrity of the examination process.
Taking the allegations seriously, the university has constituted a five-member special investigation committee to examine the incident and ascertain the facts. The panel has been directed to complete its inquiry within 72 hours and submit a detailed report to the university authorities.
According to officials, the committee will investigate how and at what stage the question paper was allegedly leaked, identify those responsible, and verify the authenticity of the complaint. If necessary, the university will seek assistance from the cyber cell to trace the source of the alleged leak and examine any digital evidence linked to the incident.
The allegations have sparked concerns among students and the academic community regarding the fairness and credibility of the PG examination. Officials acknowledged that any instance of a question paper leak could seriously undermine confidence in the medical education system and affect deserving candidates.
Students and members of the public have demanded a transparent investigation and strict action against those found guilty. OUHS has assured that appropriate action will be taken based on the findings of the inquiry committee to safeguard the credibility of the examination process and maintain academic integrity in the state's medical institutions.
