Odisha approves 1,363 JRA posts to boost revenue administration
Bhubaneswar, April 8: The Odisha government has approved the recruitment of 1,363 Junior Revenue Assistant (JRA) posts across the state to strengthen revenue administration and improve service delivery. The decision was taken during a high-level committee meeting chaired by the Principal Secretary of the Finance Department.
Additional Chief Secretary of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee, has written to all District Collectors outlining the recruitment process. The posts will be filled through direct recruitment in all 30 districts, ensuring administrative support reaches every corner of the state.
The official communication includes detailed district-wise vacancies along with provisions for reservation. Categories covered under the policy include Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBCs), women, Divyang individuals, ex-servicemen, and sportspersons.
District Collectors have been instructed to initiate the process by submitting online applications in consultation with the Odisha Sub-ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC), which will oversee the recruitment mechanism.
Officials stated that the move is aimed at enhancing efficiency in revenue administration, reducing delays, and ensuring faster delivery of public services, particularly at the grassroots level across Odisha.
