Youth found dead on Hirakhand Express at Koraput railway station
Bhubaneswar, Mar 6: The body of a youth was recovered from the Hirakhand Express at Koraput railway station on Friday morning, triggering concern among passengers and railway authorities. The incident came to light when railway staff and passengers noticed the unresponsive man inside the train after it arrived at the station.
The deceased has been identified as Manish Das, a resident of the Nua Bazar area in Cuttack. According to preliminary reports, Das was employed at a company located in Tikiri in Rayagada district and was travelling to his workplace from Bhubaneswar on Thursday.
Sources said that during the journey, he reportedly suffered a heart attack while on board the train. However, the exact circumstances surrounding his death are yet to be confirmed.
After the train reached Koraput railway station on Friday morning, the matter was reported to the authorities. Officials from the Government Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF) immediately reached the spot and recovered the body from the train.
The body was later sent for further examination as part of the investigation process. Police have registered a case in connection with the incident and are examining all possible angles to determine the exact cause of death.
