Plus II examinations begin across Odisha
Bhubaneswar, Feb 18: The annual Plus II examinations conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education commenced on Wednesday across Odisha, with as many as 4,01,623 students appearing at 1,357 examination centres statewide.
Authorities have put in place elaborate security arrangements to ensure smooth and fair conduct of the examinations. Question paper hubs are being monitored using AI-enabled cameras and CCTV surveillance systems to prevent leaks and malpractice.
On the first day, Science stream students are appearing for the Odia language paper. Arts and Commerce students will take their Odia exam on February 20. On February 21, Vocational stream candidates will write BFC-Political Science and Chemistry, while Science students will appear for Zoology. The English examination for the Science stream is scheduled for February 24.
The examinations will continue until March 25, with timings fixed from 10 am to 1 pm daily. A central control room has been set up to monitor live CCTV feeds from centres.
According to CHSE Examination Controller Prashant Kumar Parida, strict action will be taken wherever irregularities are detected. To curb cheating, 120 central squads and 75 zonal squads have been deployed across districts.
