Renowned astrologer Sridhar Acharya passes away at 51
Bhubaneswar, Feb 16: Prominent astrologer Sridhar Acharya, widely respected for his mastery in Bhrigu astrology, passed away at the age of 51 following a heart attack at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar. His sudden demise has left the astrological community and his followers in deep shock. He is survived by his wife and two sons.
Hailing from Badamba in Cuttack district, Acharya played a pivotal role in popularizing the ancient Bhrigu system of astrology in the state capital. Through years of dedicated research, consultations, and public outreach, he built a strong reputation among astrology enthusiasts and spiritual seekers.
He was the chief organizer of the Asia Astrology Conference, an annual congregation of astrologers and scholars, which he successfully hosted for 18 consecutive years. He also founded the Bhrigu College of Astrology to train students in traditional astrological sciences.
Acharya was a familiar face on television channels and in newspapers, where he regularly shared insights on annual horoscopes, planetary transitions, and celestial events, earning widespread recognition.
