President Droupadi Murmu to begin five-day Odisha visit from February 2
Bhubaneswar, Jan 22: President of India Droupadi Murmu is set to embark on a five-day visit to Odisha starting February 2, during which she will attend a series of academic, religious and public programmes across the state.
According to official sources, the President will arrive in Bhubaneswar on February 2 and proceed to Balasore the next day to attend the 12th convocation ceremony of Fakir Mohan University. She will deliver the valedictory address at the event, which will be held at the university’s new campus located at Remuna Nuapadhi. The visit is expected to inspire graduating students and highlight the importance of higher education and inclusive development.
On February 4, President Murmu will visit Jajpur district, where she will take part in various official programmes. During her visit, she is also scheduled to offer prayers at the revered Maa Biraja temple, one of Odisha’s prominent religious sites.
The President will then travel to her home district of Mayurbhanj on February 5 and 6. In Rairangpur, she will attend several events and interact with local communities.
After completing her engagements in Odisha, President Murmu will return to Bhubaneswar before departing for Chhattisgarh, marking the conclusion of her visit to the state.
