Cuttack Baliyatra to commence on November 27

Cuttack, Oct 14: The Cuttack Baliyatra is set to kick off on November 27, and the festival will span eight days, as per the district administration's announcement on Friday.
A coordination meeting, involving officials from the Cuttack Municipal Corporation, the district administration, and various stakeholders, was conducted recently to ensure the seamless execution of this historic maritime trade fair.
CMC Mayor, Subash Singh, emphasized their commitment to enhancing this year's Baliyatra, aiming to make it more appealing, visitor-friendly, and a source of enjoyment for all attendees.
Anil Kumar Samal, the Chairman of CDA, proposed a reliable, safe, and uninterrupted electricity supply by TPCODL for the duration of the fair.
Dr. Bhabani Shankar Chayani, the Collector of Cuttack, emphasized the need to increase the number of ORMAS stalls to 400 this year and to include the fair in the list of tourist attractions. He also appealed to the government to augment financial support for the event.
Numerous critical topics were addressed during the meeting, which was attended by additional chief secretary Satyabrata Sahu.
