Crude bomb explosion near Kendriya Vidyalaya gate triggers panic in Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar, Nov 28: Panic gripped the area outside Kendriya Vidyalaya in Gadakana under Mancheswar police limits today after a crude bomb exploded near the school’s main entrance. Although no injuries were reported, the sudden blast created widespread fear among commuters, parents, and local residents. The explosion occurred at Gate No. 3, sending shockwaves through the locality and raising serious questions about security in the vicinity of the school.
Preliminary reports suggest that the crude bomb was being carried by miscreants attempting to escape from the spot when it accidentally detonated. Police suspect that the explosive device may have been intended for a larger criminal act, and the sudden blast could have averted a more serious incident.
Soon after the incident, a team from Mancheswar Police reached the location and cordoned off the area. Investigators are scanning footage from multiple CCTV cameras installed nearby to trace the movement of the suspects. The police are also questioning locals and commuters who were present at the time of the blast.
Authorities have assured that all necessary steps are being taken to identify the culprits and prevent such incidents in the future. The investigation is currently underway.
