Khordha youth found unconscious after 16 days; mystery deepens

Bhubaneswar, Nov 17: In a shocking development, 22-year-old Satyajit Das, a student of a private college in Khordha, was found unconscious at SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack — sixteen days after he went missing under mysterious circumstances. His sudden reappearance in a critical condition has triggered concern and raised several unanswered questions.

According to reports, Satyajit had gone to attend a birthday celebration with friends at a café under the Bharatpur police limits in Bhubaneswar on November 1. After the party, he failed to return home. His mobile remained switched off, and repeated attempts by his family to contact him yielded no response. CCTV footage later confirmed his presence at the café that evening.

Worried and distressed, his family lodged a missing person complaint with Khurda Town Police, prompting an investigation. The case took a dramatic turn when Satyajit was located at SCB Hospital, battling for life. How he reached Cuttack or sustained his injuries remains unclear.

Doctors have stated that his condition continues to be critical. Police are now awaiting his recovery to record his statement, which is expected to shed light on the mysterious events of the past 16 days.
