CM Majhi launches “Prosperous Odisha, Golden Odisha” campaign at Brahma Kumaris Golden Jubilee
Bhubaneswar, Nov 17: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday graced the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the Brahma Kumaris Institute at Janata Maidan, where he officially launched the organisation’s statewide campaign titled “Prosperous Odisha, Golden Odisha.” The event marked a significant milestone for the spiritual organisation, which completed 50 years of service in Odisha.
Addressing a large gathering, Majhi said the Brahma Kumaris’ five-decade journey was “not merely a passage of time, but a journey of awakening humanity, promoting spiritual upliftment, and rendering divine service to society.” He highlighted that a spiritual lifestyle fosters simplicity, humility, and mindful consumption, helping individuals use resources responsibly.
The Chief Minister praised Sister BK Shivani for her impactful contribution to spiritual life in India, noting that her message of renunciation and selfless service has inspired millions. Majhi also acknowledged the organisation’s role in helping people overcome depression, addiction, and emotional distress through meditation and stress management initiatives. He added that the Brahma Kumaris have been instrumental in promoting women’s empowerment and nurturing social values.
Majhi expressed confidence that the Golden Jubilee celebrations would inspire a global movement, spreading the message of peace from Mount Abu to major cities worldwide. Emphasising the importance of Raj Yoga and meditation in public administration, he said these practices instill discipline and compassion, strengthening governance.
