Helicopter of CM Mohan Charan Majhi inspected in Nuapada ahead of bypoll
Bhubaneswar, Nov 7: The helicopter carrying Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi underwent a detailed inspection on Thursday during his visit to Nuapada district ahead of the upcoming bypoll. The inspection was carried out by teams from the flying squad and the video surveillance unit, in accordance with Election Commission (EC) guidelines to ensure transparency and adherence to the Model Code of Conduct.
Officials said the inspection was part of routine pre-election monitoring aimed at tracking the movement of political leaders and campaign-related materials. The teams examined the helicopter and accompanying luggage to rule out any violations.
Similar checks were also conducted on the aircraft of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudeo Sai, who was in Nuapada for campaigning, as well as on the flights of BJP National Vice-President Baijayant Panda and BJD President Naveen Patnaik during their recent visits.
District officials emphasized that such inspections are standard electoral procedures designed to maintain a free, fair, and transparent campaign environment. Continuous monitoring will continue until polling day to ensure all political activities comply with Election Commission protocols.
