CHSE extends form fill-up deadline for ex-regular students due to Cyclone ‘Montha’
Bhubaneswar, Oct 29: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha has announced an extension of the form fill-up and fee payment deadline for Ex-Regular students appearing in the Annual Higher Secondary Examination 2026, following disruptions caused by Cyclone ‘Montha’ and appeals from several higher secondary schools across the state.
As per an official notification issued by Dr. Prasanta Kumar Parida, Controller of Examinations, the last date for submission of forms and payment of fees through SBI Collect without fine has been extended from October 28 to November 3, 2025. The extension applies to students of the Arts, Commerce, Science, and Vocational streams, including those enrolled in Correspondence Courses.
The CHSE clarified that principals and headmasters of affiliated institutions must complete the form submission and payment process by the revised deadline. However, all other dates related to late submission—with fines of Rs 200 and Rs 600—will remain unchanged.
The council stated that the move aims to ensure fairness and convenience for students affected by the cyclone and to provide sufficient time for completion of formalities. The decision underscores CHSE’s commitment to supporting students and institutions during natural calamities while maintaining the academic calendar for the upcoming examinations.
