Vigilance raids uncover massive assets linked to assistant engineer Raja Kishore Jena

Bhubaneswar, July 29: In a major crackdown on alleged corruption, the Odisha Vigilance Department launched simultaneous raids on multiple properties linked to Raja Kishore Jena, Assistant Engineer in the Roads and Buildings (R&B) Division-III, Bhubaneswar. The operation, which began early morning, uncovered a substantial collection of assets suspected to be disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The raids were carried out by a high-level team comprising seven Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), five Inspectors, one Sub-Inspector, 11 Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs), and several other staff. Acting under search warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar, the teams targeted various residential and commercial premises associated with Jena across multiple locations.
Preliminary findings reveal multiple high-value land parcels, residential houses, commercial establishments, and documents indicating significant financial investments. The properties under scrutiny are located in and around Bhubaneswar and are being thoroughly inspected for financial records and ownership links.
The raids are part of an ongoing investigation into allegations of disproportionate assets. Further assessments are underway, and officials have not ruled out the possibility of more recoveries or arrests as the operation progresses.
