Massive security arrangements in Bhubaneswar ahead of PM Modi’s June 20 visit

Bhubaneswar, June 19: Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Bhubaneswar on June 20, the Commissionerate Police has put in place elaborate security measures to ensure a smooth and secure event. A total of 133 platoons of police force will be deployed across the city.
The deployment includes 16 senior officers at the rank of DCP or SP, 33 additional DCPs, 93 ACPs or DSPs, 106 inspectors, 455 sub-inspectors and ASIs, 189 women police personnel, and 291 home guards. The deployment aims to ensure tight security along the PM's route and at the venue.
The Prime Minister's roadshow will proceed from the Biju Patnaik International Airport to Janata Maidan via AG Square, Raj Bhawan Square, and Jaydev Vihar. Traffic restrictions will be in place from 3 PM to 6 PM or until the event concludes.
Commuters are urged to avoid these routes and use alternative paths. Parking facilities have been arranged at multiple designated spots. A high-level security review meeting led by Commissioner Suresh Chandra Devdatta Singh was also held to finalise all arrangements.
